The Ironton Junior Lady Fighting Tigers’ 7th and 8th grade basketball teams each won three games last week.

7th Grade

Ironton 27, Fairland 18

Peyton Arden had 10 points and 13 rebounds. Alyssa Lewis had 9 points with 5 boards, Autimn Shope had 3 points, Rachel Ruggles and Taylor Littlejohn had 2 points each. Zakia Lee had a game-high 14 rebounds.

Bethany Hamilton scored 11 and Kylan Hagar 3 for Fairland.

Ironton 36, Coal Grove 10

Zakia Lee had 12 points and 12 rebounds, Alyssa Lewis had 12 points, Peyton Arden 8 points and 16 rebounds and Aley Carmon added 4.

Curry had 6 and McGuire 3 for Coal Grove.

Ironton 44, Huntington 31

Peyton Arden 21 points 18 rebounds, Alyssa Lewis had 10 points, Aley Carmon had 8 points and 9 rebounds, Zakia Lee had 3 points and 5 rebounds and Cherokee Alfrey added 2.

8th Grade

Ironton 49, Fairland 35

Lexie Barrier had a game-high 19 points with 8 rebounds, Desiree Scott had 13 points 8 rebounds, Cheyenne Scott had 8 points with 4 assists and 8 rebounds, Joedan Hannan had 7 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists, and Kaylin Easterling added 2 points.

Ironton 48, Coal Grove 17

Lexie Barrier had 18 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists, Jordan Hannan 7 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists, Cheyenne Scott and Kylie Barcus had 5 points each, Alyssa Lewis and Laken Ruggles 4 each, Kaylinn Easterling, Gabby Osborne, Kierra Sowards Baylee McClain all added 2 each.

Haynes, Ruggles and Waulk all had 5 points each for Coal Grove.

Ironton 42, Huntington 30

Lexie Barrier had 21 points and 10 rebounds, Jordan Hannan 8 points and 5 assists, Kaylin Easterling had 6 points with 5 boards, Cheyenne Scott had 4 points with 5 rebounds, Desiree Scott had 7 rebounds and added 3 points while Gabby Osborne and Kierra Sowards added 2 points apiece.

Ironton plays at Buffalo, W.Va., on Tuesday and hosts Portsmouth on Wednesday. Both games start at 5:30 p.m.
