SOUTH POINT — It was a perfect time for a letdown, but the South Point Lady Pointers decided it wasn’t the right time.

South Point showed no signs of a letdown as they rolled past the winless Alexander Lady Spartans 58-16 on Monday.

“We knew they were young and they were struggling, but we still went out and played well from the start and took care of business,” said Lady Pointers’ coach Dave Adams.

Allison Mitchell scored 19 points and Brett Justice had 10 to lead the Lady Pointers (5-3).

Mitchell had 8 points and Aundrea Bradburn scored all 6of her points in the first quarter as South Point raced to a 21-4 lead.

The lead went to 33-9 at the half as Mitchell and Justice combined for 10 of 12 points in the quarter.

Justice had 6 more points and Mitchell 5 in the third quarter before Adams emptied his bench.
