CHESAPEAKE — One of the victims in a Chesapeake shooting Friday night has died.
Christopher Radulic, 20, of 8308 County Road, Chesapeake, was pronounced dead at Cabell Huntington Hospital Saturday, according to Lawrence County Sheriff Jeff Lawless.
The shooting happened at approximately 11 p.m. Friday when the Lawrence County 911 Dispatch Center received a phone call of a domestic dispute at 8308 County Road 15, Chesapeake.
Radulic was in an argument with his father, Joseph Radulic, 55, of the same address.
“The argument escalated to where the son began to trash the home,” Lawless said. “He broke some windows of the house.”
The son then went outside the house where both men lived to retrieve a 32-caliber handgun that was in the locked car of his father that was parked in the driveway, according to the sheriff.
The son began to fire the gun through the front windows of the house striking the father in the upper thigh and chest area. The son then turned the gun on himself, shooting himself in the head. He was still alive on the front porch at the time sheriff’s deputies came on the scene.
“This investigation is ongoing and we will continue to look at the evidence but what the preliminary investigation shows is this is what occurred,” Lawless said.
Joseph Radulic, who was originally listed in stable condition, was released over the weekend, according to Cabell Hospital spokesman Charles Shumaker.
