BIDWELL — This time things just didn’t go the way the Rock Hill Redwomen might have hoped.

After losing 72-65 in overtime back on Jan. 12, Rock Hill was hoping to tip the scales in their favor the second time around.

But the River Valley Lady Raiders took advantage of the homecourt and senior night to beat the Redwomen 62-36 Thursday in an Ohio Valley Conference game.

River Valley took a 15-11 first quarter lead. The Redwomen climbed within 21-19 at the 1:12 mark of the second quarter before the Lady Raiders pulled in front 26-20 at the half.

Rock Hill cut the deficit to 30-25 with 6:38 left in the third quarter but River Valley went on a 17-5 run and the lead grew to 47-30.

The Lady Raiders ran off 11 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to take their biggest lead at 60-33.

Chelsea Harper scored 12 points to lead Rock Hill (6-14, 0-10). Brook Knipp added 8 points.

River Valley (6-14, 2-8) was led by Cady Gilmore with 19, Alli Neville with 15 and Beth Misner with 13. Gilmore and Misner each hit three 3-pointers.

In the sectional tournament at Jackson, Rock Hill will play Zane Trace at 8 p.m. on Wednesday.
