Joseph Stevens

PEDRO — Joseph Allen Stevens, 33, of Pedro, went home to be with the Lord Monday, Feb. 13, 2012, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky.

The Ironton native was born Jan. 17, 1979, the son of Flossie Renfroe Stevens and the late Linzy Phillip Stevens Jr.

Joe was a 1997 graduate of Symmes Valley High School and received his nursing degree from ACTC. He was a registered nurse at King’s Daughters Medical Center in the ER and was a member of the Salt and Light Church in Ashland, Ky.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sisters and brothers-in-law, Pamela Lynn and Paul Walker of Ironton and Hope Ann and Keith Wilson of Scottown; nieces and nephews, Shelby Lynn Walker of Ironton, Isaac Paul Walker of Ironton, Ranson Keith Wilson, Isabella Wilson, Willow Wilson, and Keifer Wilson all of Scottown; his girlfriend, Kim Blevins of Ashland, Ky.; special friends, Alicia Bowling and Deborah Withers both of Ashland, Ky., and a multitude of family, friends and coworkers

There will be a celebration of life at 1 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home with Pastor Greg Matney and Dr. Dale Maddy officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service Thursday at the funeral home. Effie McFann

Effie McFann, 82, of Ironton, died Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2012 at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky. She was the wife of Orville McFann, who survives. Arrangements are pending at Phillips Funeral Home.

 

Nellie Fulks

CROWN CITY — Nellie Eileen Fulks, 84, of Crown City, died Monday, Feb. 13, 2012, at her residence. She was the wife of Stanford Fulks, who survives. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Hall Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
