Charles Moore

Charles Edward Moore, 63, of Caledonia, formerly of Ironton, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012, at Marion Community Health Center in Marion. The Ironton native was born March 24, 1948, a son to the late Edward and Sarah (Jenkins) Moore.

In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by a brother, Samuel Blevins.

Charles is survived by a daughter, Talisha Hoover of Jackson, Fla.; a sister, Wanda Allen of Caledonia; a brother, Lonnie Blevins of Caledonia; two nephews, Claude and George Allen both of Marion; two nieces, Christine Gibson and Jessica Franklin, both of Marion; eight great nephews; and four great nieces.

Funeral services will be noon Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Leatherwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 11 a.m. to noon at the funeral home. To offer condolences to the family please visit www.phillipsfuneralhome.net.

Edythe E. Wagner, 89, of Ironton, died Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012, at a local health care center. Arrangements are pending at Phillips Funeral Home.

Edna Mae Clagg, 76, of Proctorville, died Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012, at home. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Hall Funeral Home. Visitation is 1:30 to 2 p.m. Friday.

Myrtle Bryant Fairchild, 91, formerly of Ashland, Ky., died Friday, Feb. 24, 2012, at Manor Care in Webster, Texas. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Preston Family Funeral Home in Ashland with Pastor Andrew Matthews. Burial will be in Dixon Cemetery. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
