Edythe Wagner

Edythe E. Wagner, 89, of Ironton, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012, at a local health care center. The Ironton native was born April 16, 1922, the daughter of the late Delbert Earl and Ada Goodman Wagner. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Ferguson.

Ms. Wagner attended Ironton City Schools, was a homemaker and attended the Ironton City Mission Church.

She is survived by two sisters, Lydia Lawson of Ironton and Janet Gore of South Point; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Hayes-Phillips Funeral Home with the Rev. James Cremeans officiating. Burial will follow in Mamre Cemetery and visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home. James Cummings

James Richard Cummings, 85, of Ashland, Ky., formerly of Wellston, died Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012, at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland. He was the husband of Harriet Littlejohn Cummings, who survives.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, Ky., with Pastor Michael Whitehead officiating, assisted by Becky Schneider Dern and Tara Cummings. Burial will follow in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service Military rites will be performed by United States Navy Honor Guard and American Legion Post 93 Kenova. Betty Beasley

Betty Beasley, 84, of Ironton, died Thursday, March 1, 2012, at King’s Daughters Medical Center. Arrangements are pending at Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home.
