Lutz-Burcham retirement dinner to benefit turf fund

Former Ironton head football coach Bob Lutz, left, and long-time assistant Mike Burcham will be honored at a benefit dinner on April 28 at the Knights of Columbus Hall. Proceeds will go toward the football turf fund.

Even in retirement, it’s still about Ironton football.

A dinner to celebrate the retirement of long-time Ironton head football coach Bob Lutz and assistant Mike Burcham will be held Saturday, April 28, at the Knights of Columbus Hall with proceeds to benefit the Ironton Turf Project.

The dinner will be from 6-to-10 p.m. with finger foods and desserts served. There will be a cash bar.

A 50/50 drawing will be held along with door prizes and auction items. Tickets are $30 each or $50 per couple and a limited number will be sold.

Tickets are available at Ironton Physical Therapy, Ohio River Bank, Ironton High School, the Ironton School Board office and turf committee members.
