FRANKLIN FURNACE — The Green Lady Bobcats started fast and then coasted to a 12-8 win over the Chesapeake Lady Panthers on Tuesday.

Green led 7-1 after two innings and 12-2 before the Lady Panthers scored six times in the sixth inning.

“We jumped out on them early and held on,” said Green coach Dale Royse. “The top of our order is doing really well.”

Green (4-3) had 14 hits as Jenna Crawford went 3-3 with a triple and Micah Lewis was 3-3 with two triples and three runs batted in.

Sammi Crisp went 2-4 with a double while Erin Imes was 2-4 with two doubles.

Chesapeake had 11 hits as Macy Allen, Carrie Brock and Alyssa Scott all went 2-4.

Crawford went the distance to get the win.

Green visits Eastern on Wednesday.
