There is a boil water advisory in effect for Helca Water Association customers in the Sheridan area.

Engineer Tim Dalton said the advisory is due to a leak in the water line.

The advisory is for the area along County Road 1 from Austin Drive to the Grandview area and affects about 200 customers.

Dalton said the advisory would be in effect until 4 p.m. Friday unless other problems arise.
