FRANKLIN FURNACE — They were coming from two different directions, and so were the results.

The Green Lady Bobcats lost at Eastern 7-5 on Wednesday, then routed Western 17-6 on Thursday in a pair of Southern Ohio Conference games.

“We hit the ball well (Thursday),” said Green coach Dale Royse. “Against Eastern we had one bad inning when we made four errors. That was the key to the game.”

Green (5-4, 2-2) led Eastern 4-0 but the Lady Eagles scored six times in the bottom of the second and held on for the win.

Jenna Crawford went 2-4 with a double and Sammi Crisp was 2-4 as Green out-hit Eastern 8-6.

Kayla McCallister singled in a run as Green went up 2-0 in the first. Crisp had a two-run single in the second.

Crisp doubled and Micah Lewis tripled for Green’s final run.

On Thursday, Crawford had another big game as she went 3-4 with two doubles, a home run and six runs batted in to key the win.

Lewis got the win as she struck out four and walked one.
