National Basketball Association

NBA—Fined Dallas G Delonte West $25,000 for a physical taunt by poking Utah’s Gordon Hayward in the ear during an April 16 game.

COLLEGE

TOLEDO—Announced the NCAA denied its appeal on next year’s postseason ban for the men’s basketball team because of below-standard Academic Performance Rate scores. The team will be forced to give up three regular-season games and cut its practice time.
