The fun starts at 2 p.m. at the main branch, 1740 Central Ave. Young royalty – ages 3 to 12 — are requested to come to the castle (the library) in their royal attire (don’t have to). There will be a “royal reading,” after which preparations will be made for the royal parade. Youngsters can make their choice of a princess hennin (headdress), jeweled purse, family crested shield or Knight in Shining Armor sword.

The festivities begins promptly at 2 p.m. Don’t be late – the castle (library) staff have been known to throw people in the dungeon for far lesser offenses.
