Lady Dragons down Trojans 13-0

PROCTORVILLE — Chelsey and Chloe Stanley proved to be double trouble for Portsmouth.

The Stanley twin sisters combined to got 5-6 with five extra base hits and five runs batted in as the Fairland Lady Dragons blanked the Portsmouth Lady Trojans 13-0 in five innings on Tuesday.

“The twins did very well tonight,” said Fairland coach Joe Auxier.

Chloe was 3-3 with three doubles and four RBI while Chelsey was 2-3 with a double, a triple and an RBI.

Chandler Fulks pitched a two-hitter as Fairland improved to 17-7. She struck out five and walked only one.

“That’s one of her better pitching jobs. She threw well,” said Auxier.

Fairland had 12 hits with Haley Woodall going 2-2 with two RBI, Fulks 2-4, Jaimie Phillips 2-3 with an RBI and Arealle Rice 1-1.

The Senior Night win marked the final home game for Kerie Napier and Anyssa Murphy.

Fairland will host Coal Grove next Tuesday in the Division III sectional tournament.
