Dollye Harberger

Dollye Harberger, 91, of Ironton, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2012, at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell, Ky.

She was born May 29, 1920, the daughter of the late John Henry and Mary (Etterling) Harberger.

Dollye was a retired accountant for Ashland Oil, Inc. and she was a member of Sedgewick United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school for 67 years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Katherine Owens and Charlene Harberger; two brothers, Carl and Donald Harberger and one niece, Ima Jean Rath.

Dollye is survived by one niece, Marjorie Moeller of St. Louis, Mo.; several great nieces and nephews and a loving caregiver, Anna Jenkins of Ironton.

Funeral services will be noon Friday at the Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home with Pastor Willard Metz officiating.

Internment will follow in Woodland Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to noon Friday. Annabelle Green

Annabel Byrd Green, 74, of Proctorville, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, May 13, 2012, from St. Mary’s Medical Center. Annabel was born April 19, 1938, a daughter of the late Othur and Queen Elkins Byrd. She was a member of Christ Community Church and a retired assistant manager from K-Mart.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lacy Green; one sister, Kathy Hogsten; and two brothers, Tommy and Dean Byrd.

Annabel is survived by six children, Vicky Beddies of Kettering, Linda Ramey of Huntington, W.Va, Eddie Green of Mainz, Germany, Randy (Candi) Green of Ballston Lake, N.Y., Sherri (Chuck) Willey of Winfield, W.Va., and Kim (Robert) Kratzenberg of South Point; 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; nine siblings, Patti (Gene) Lay of Fostoria, Mich., Carol (Ray) Steele of Dayton, Sandy Hill of Pleasanton, Calif., Judy (Allan) Bevans of Chesapeake, Regina (Dennis) Reed of Chesapeake, Debbie (Jim) Brown of Chesapeake, Thelma (Vernon) Arthur of Eldon, Mo., Ronald (Charlene) Byrd of Montgomery, Texas, and Robert Byrd of South Point; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home with the Rev. Kermit Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Barboursville, W.Va. Visitation will 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Hospice of Huntington or Christ Community Church. Geraldine James

Geraldine James, 84, of South Point, died Monday, May 14, 2012, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington, W.Va. Funeral services will be noon Friday at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home with Pastor Ronnie Tyree and Minister Jeff Garrett officiating. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to noon Friday at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home.
