Della Hager

Della J. Hager, 78, of Ironton, died on Friday, May 25, 2012, at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky. She was born Aug. 31, 1933, in Martin County, Ky., the daughter of the late H.B. and May Muncy Blackburn. She was a retired restaurant cook and was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Lula Hall, Mildred Adkins, and Mavis Taylor. Survivors include one son, Phillip Copley of Ironton; one daughter, Debbie (Jim) Gannon of Ironton; her sisters, Linda Linnville of Ironton, Margaret Daniels of Coal Grove, Mary Cline of Lovely, Ky., and Neida Scott of Ceredo- Kenova, W.Va., and one brother, H.B. Blackburn Jr. of Columbus. Grandchildren include Phillip Ross Copley of Florida, and Jessica Danielle Wilbur. She is also survived by four great grandchildren in Columbus. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at O’Keefe-Baker Funeral Home. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.

 

Alda McConnell

Alda Elizabeth McConnell, 91, of Proctorville, died Saturday, May 26, 2012, at home. Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Hall Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rome Cemetery. Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall.
