Joyce Gleiss

Joyce Gleiss, of Clarkston, Mich., died Saturday, May 26, 2012, at the age of 80. She was preceded in death by her husband George. She was the mother of Deb (John) Creighton, Karl (Kathy) Gleiss and Karyn (Erik) Gotaas; grandma of Holly (Grant) Franson, Jay (Kendra) Creighton, Julie Creighton, Weston and Mende Gleiss, Garret and Grant Gotaas; great grandma of Jeffrey and Jack; sister of Lorna Waldo and Paul (Ace) Mende.

Memorial service is noon Friday at Clarkston United Methodist Church where friends may visit 11 a.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to STARS-Kids, Shunt Research, in honor of her grandson, Grant. Mom was a guidance counselor by profession and never stopped guiding us toward our potential. Mrs. Lela Kerns, 84, of Ironton, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at the Woodland Oaks Health Care Facility in Ashland, Ky. Arrangements are pending at the Tracy Brammer – Monroe Funeral Home.

 

Evelyn Kizzee

Evelyn Kizzee, 100, of Hermitage, Tenn., died Saturday, May 26, 2012. Mrs. Kizzee was the daughter of the late Winfield and Ethel Chatfield Abbott. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Sherman Kizzee. She is survived by a daughter, Elaine Nunnery; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Woodland Cemetery. Arrangements are by Bond Memorial Chapel, Mt. Juliet, Tenn.
