Georgianna Abner

Georgianna Abner, 79, of Ironton, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at Jolin Health Center. The Lawrence County native was born May 16, 1933, a daughter of the late Charles Elmer Abrams and Mae (Woods) Abrams.

In addition to her parents Georgianna was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Douglas Abner Jr.; a son, Barry Michael Abner; two sisters, Hilda Abrams Blake and Jean Abrams Pinkerman, and a great-grandson, Malachi Abner.

She was a member of LaGrange Freewill Baptist Church, a graduate of Pedro High School, and was retired from the Lawrence County Department of Jobs and Family Services. Georgianna was a loving wife, Mother, grandmother, friend and devoted Christian.

She is survived by three sons, Terry (Connie) Abner of Ironton; Bruce (Letitia) Abner of Hanging Rock, and Kevin (Leigh Anne) Abner of Lucasville; three grandchildren, Kristi (Bill) Brammer of Coal Grove, Aaron (LeDusta) Abner of Ironton and Jonathan Abner of Ironton and four great-grandchildren, Brianna and Douglas Brammer of Coal Grove, and Tagan and Micah Abner of Ironton; several nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends.

Funeral services will be noon Friday at the Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home with Brother Aaron Abner officiating. Interment will follow in Woodland Cemetery. Janet Kingsley

Janet Sanders Kingsley, of Maineville, died on Friday June 1, 2012.

Born July 18, 1934, to Clyde and Helen (nee:Williams) Sanders she joins in death her parents and husband, Manford Jack Kingsley.

She leaves behind daughters Malinda K. Napier and her former spouse Steven Napier and Sandy Gilton and her spouse Eric Wogomon. Also surviving are grandchildren Damen, Maranda, Angelina and Jeremy and six great grandchildren.

Funeral was 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home, Lebanon. Visitation was from 1- 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial was in Miami Valley Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Janet’s name to the Hospice of Cincinnati- Blue Ash, 4310 Cooper Road, Cincinnati, OH 45242. Billy Willis

Billy Ray Willis, 77, of South Point, died Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at King’s Daughters Medical Center, Ashland, Ky. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, with Pastor Ken Gowen officiating. Military graveside rites will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point. Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home. William Jenkins

William Harrison Jenkins, died Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at his residence. Arrangements are pending at Phillips Funeral Home.
