Two of the three individuals arrested in connection with vandalism at the Ironton Masonic Temple will be in Ironton Municipal Court today.
Dallas M. Roberson, 22, 404 N. Second St., and Jodi M. Blevins, 18, 402 N. Second St., will be arraigned in front of Ironton Municipal Judge O. Clark Collins. Both are currently charged with breaking and entering.
The pair was arrested on Friday along with a 17-year-old from South Point.
On Thursday morning Ironton Police were dispatched to the building at 109 N. Third St. after Charles Roe, an employee with New Beginnings, a tenant there, reported that the front door of the building was unlocked.
Roe said the hallway on the second floor where New Beginnings has an office was covered with glass and that the business was missing a Compag laptop computer, a black lock box with more than $8,000 in checks, $30 in cash and food stamp cards.
Windows on the second and third floors of the building were smashed and office doors were broken into. Also the area was covered with powder from fire extinguishers.
“We did recover some property,” Ironton Police Chief Jim Carey said.
The arrests were made at the Ironton Police station after the suspects were brought there for questioning.
“Officer Steve Wilson took the report and from that was able to glean some leads and follow up with them,” Carey said. “There may be other charges.”
Also Carey said police are seeking warrants for two other individuals, at least one of whom is a juvenile.
