Carl Jenkins

Carl W. Jenkins, 54, of Ironton, passed away Friday, July 13, 2012, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky.

The Hardin County, Ky., native was born Oct. 12, 1957, the son of the late James Thomas Jenkins and Virginia Lee Thompson Jenkins Jackson. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Ginger Mullins Jenkins. Mr. Jenkins was a graduate of the Lawrence County Vocational School, where he received his certification in welding and fabrication. He attending technical college in Texas specializing in welding. He was previously employed with Riggs Manufacturing in Ashland. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of the AMVETS.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Lee Allen Jenkins; stepfather, Robert S. Jackson; and a brother, Ronald Lee Jenkins. He is survived by two sons, Carl Wayne Jenkins, Jr and Ronnie Lee Jenkins, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Bobbie Jo Jenkins; a granddaughter, Mia Nicole Jenkins; two sisters, Vickie Lynn Jenkins and Linda and Brian Griffin and their family, three nephews; four nieces; a brother, Jimmy Russell; two half sisters, Bobbie Jo Potter and Billie Jo Leyva; a nephew, James Russell; and a niece, Ashley Russell. Charles LaCerra

Charles Steven LaCerra, 37, of Ashland, Ky., died Sunday, July 15, 2012, at Ohio State Wexner Center in Columbus. He was the husband of Frances Curry LaCerra, who survives.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods, Ky., with Pastor Shaun Howard officiating.

Burial will follow at Bentley Cemetery at Little White Oak in Greenup County, Ky.

Helen Ford-Clarke

Helen C. Ford-Clarke, 68, of Flatwoods, Ky., died Sunday, July 15, 2012, at Oakmont Manor Nursing Home in Flatwoods. Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods. Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods is in charge of final arrangements. Earl Pyles

Earl Eugene Pyles, Jr., 44, of South Shore, Ky., formerly of Marion, died Sunday, July 15, 2012, at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Ashland, Ky. He was the husband of Christel Reed-Pyles, who survives. There will be no services. Arrangements are by Carman Funeral Home, Flatwoods, Ky. Garrett Hayes

Forrest Kerns, 73, of Ironton, died Monday, July 16, 2012, at his residence. He was the husband of Ruby Kerns, who survives. Arrangements are pending at Phillips Funeral Home.
