Linda Reneau

Linda Dickerson Reneau, 71, of Russell, Ky., passed away Saturday July 21, 2012, at the Community Hospice Care Center.

She was born June 26, 1941 in Paintsville, Ky., daughter of the late Harry Lee Dickerson and Ethel Mae West Dickerson.

She was a lifetime Episcopalian and a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Ironton, was former member of the church vestry, and was actively involved in many church and community projects.

Linda was a former member of Toastmasters International; past president of OLBH Women’s Auxiliary; and a member of the Paramount Women’s Association. She retired as bank auditor for Third National Bank and also worked at the Reneau Insurance Agency for 28 years. She was a member of the honorable order of Kentucky Colonels

She is survived by her husband, Charles M. Reneau of Russell; son, James M. Reneau of Russell; daughter, Nancy Reneau Jackson of Worthington, Ky.; brother, James Dickerson of San Antonio, Texas and three beautiful granddaughters.

There will be a memorial service at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Christ Episcopal Church. Family will receive friends at 5 p.m. The family requests donations may be made in her memory to Christ Episcopal Church Memorial Fund, PO Box 555, Ironton, OH 45638. John Moritz

John Michael Moritz, 50, of Ironton, passed away, Saturday, July 21, 2012, at his residence. The Ironton native was born Feb. 4, 1962 the son of Rosetta Ackison Moritz of Ironton, who survives and the late Charles W. Moritz.

John was a 1980 graduate of Ironton High School and a former truck driver. He was of the Baptist faith and a proud member of the Ironton High School football team that won the 1979 state football championship.

He was preceded in death by, (in addition to his father), a nephew, Michael Cooke.

He is survived by, (in addition to his mother), three daughters, Sydnie Moritz Cade, Madison Moritz and MaKenzie Moritz all of Gallipolis; sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Jeff Linn of Ironton; sister and brother-in-law, Lynn and Doug Hopper of Ironton; sister and brother-in-law, Charla and Terry Reedy of Equatorial Guinea, West Africa; brother, David Moritz of Columbus and seven nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 11 a.m.-1p.m. Wednesday at Tracy Brammer – Monroe Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow in Woodland Cemetery with Pastor Steve Harvey officiating. Pallbearers for the service will be Tim Hodges, Bubby Fletcher, John Waginger, Tom Osborne, Craig Thomas and Tim Rist. Barbara Lawless

Barbara Ann Lawless, 76, of Coal Grove, passed away Saturday, July 21, 2012, at her residence.

The Ironton native was born Nov. 8, 1935, the daughter of the late James Daniel and Helen Tordiff Snead. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward Lawless who passed away April 19, 2009.

Mrs. Lawless was a graduate of Ironton High School and Ashland Business College. She was a former admitting supervisor for the Lawrence County General Hospital for 25 years, retiring in 1999 and was a member of Central Christian Church in Ironton.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a brother, James Snead.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Diane Lawless of Houston, Texas; daughter and son-in-law: Rebecca J. and Ed Hobson of Simpsonville, Ky.; son, Danny Lawless of Coal Grove; son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Linda Lawless of Coal Grove; son, Jeff Lawless of Coal Grove; daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and James Paul of Ashland, Ky.; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Yvonne Snead of Coal Grove; brother, Ralph Snead of Ironton; sister and brother-in-law, June and Dan Calhoun also of Houston; sister, Mary Snead of Ironton; sister, Betty Compston of Coal Grove; 16 grandchildren, J.D. Mowery, Bethany Dickess, Bryan Lawless, Dusty Lawless, Misty Lawless Hunt, Megan Lawless, Danielle Garrison, Ed Hobson, Jr., Neil Hobson, Kristen Lawless, Kayla Lawless, Andrea Martinez, Sheena Lawless, Misty Blanton, Amber Leibee, and B.J. Leibee and 17 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Phillips Funeral Home with minister Phil Lemaster officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 11:30 a.m. until the time of the service Wednesday at the funeral home. Charlotte Bush

Charlotte Kay Bush, 62, of Ironton, died Sunday, July 22, 2012, at a local health care center. Funeral will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Phillips Funeral Home with Brother Britt Bush officiating. Donald McClure

Donald McClure, 79, of Huntington, W.Va., died Monday, July 23, 2012 at the Emogene Dolin Jones House in Huntington, W.Va. He was the husband of Donna McClure, who survives. Arrangements are pending at Hall Funeral Home in Proctorville, Ohio.
