During her lifetime, Jane graduated from Russell High School in 1938 and was fortunate enough to have attended Morehead State and Eastern Kentucky universities. Then she began raising her family, which she considered the most important priority in her life. Cooking huge meals for the entire family to gather around was something she absolutely loved to do, along with playing cards with her grandchildren and making cross-stitch quilts for each of us, which we will treasure. After raising her family, she began her careers with the late L. H. “Pete” Nicholls, and Judge Lewis Nicholls, attorneys-at-law in Greenup, Ky. She thoroughly enjoyed this type of work and loved all the people she met and worked with throughout the years. Jane was also formerly an active member of the Greenup Democratic Women’s Club, the MAC Club and was as honorary Kentucky Colonel.
