A Kitts Hill teen has been identified as the victim of a Sunday morning motor vehicle accident in a residential area of Ironton.

According to police reports, Dustin L. Spry, 16, of 434 Perry Township 266, was the driver of a 1995 GMC pick-up truck that was northbound in the 2400 block of South Eighth Street when it went out of control hitting a parked vehicle.

The truck then continued down Eighth Street hitting another parked car, which, in turn, hit a third parked car. The accident happened at approximately 8 a.m.

Spry was pronounced dead at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Ironton campus. A passenger in Spry’s car fled the scene prior to Ironton Police officers’ arrival on the scene, according to the report. The identity of that person remains under investigation.
