Ryan Ainsworth

Ryan D. Ainsworth, 46, of Ironton, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky. The Ironton native was born Jan. 7, 1966, the son of William “Bill” Ainsworth of Ironton and Karlene Hoertel Ainsworth of Ironton.

Ryan was a 1985 graduate of Ironton High School, where he played sports. He was a U.S. Army veteran that received several decorations and awards. He was a former employee of Pepsi for 18 years, was a member of the Moose #701 and loved The Ohio State Buckeyes.

He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Karl and Bernice Hoertel; paternal grandparents: Harold and Betty Maddy; and maternal aunt and uncle: Don and Sally Hoertel Vanderpool.

In addition to his mother and father, he is survived by a sister, Michele Meade of Ashland, Ky.;

Brother, Greg Ainsworth of Elizabethtown, Ky.; brother and sister-in-law, Adam and Tammie Ainsworth of Ironton; favorite aunt, Lynn Hoertel O’Leary of Athens; aunt, Cindy Price of Ashland, Ky.; special aunt, uncle and cousin, Kay, Frank and Sean Ainsworth of Ironton; paternal aunt, Marta George of Scottsdale, Ariz.; special friend, Leslie Blackwell Spangler; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many good friends.

Funeral services will be noon Friday at Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home, with the Rev. Steve Harvey officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Military rites by the VFW Post 8850 and pallbearers will be David Moritz, Brett Layne, Vince Sheridan, Tim Collins, and Plugger Parnell. Georgia Shipley

Georgia Shipley, 91, of Ironton, Ohio, passed away Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012, at JoLin Health Care Center, Ironton. She was born Jan. 22, 1921, in Ironton, to the late William and Nellie (Wade) Ratliff. Georgia worked as a clerk for The Ironton Tribune and attended the First Church of the Nazarene in Ironton. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, James Bernard Sesher; and her second husband, Robert Shipley; one son, Mike Sesher; five brothers; and three sisters.

She is survived by two sons, Ronald and Sandy Sesher of Port Clinton and David and Sandy Sesher of Ironton; one daughter, Mitzi and Dan Hess of Bellefontaine; three granddaughters, Dana and Pete (Shipley) Carter, Krista and Kevin Bump of Greenfield, Ind., and Jennifer and Dan Meade of Ohio; four grandsons, Tony Sesher and Trevor Sesher of Columbus, Tyler Sesher of Dayton and Michael and Jackie Sesher of Pennsylvania; nine stepgrandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home, with Pastor Robert Hale officiating. Interment will follow the service at Highland Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday.

Harry Conrad

Harry J. Conrad, 778, of Ona, W.Va., died Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2012, at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Arrangements are pending at Hall Funeral Home.
