David Ervin

David Lee Ervin, 75, of Ironton, passed away Saturday, Aug. 25, 2012, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky. The Pedro native was born July 11, 1937 the son of the late Isaac Joseph Ervin and Florence Ada Webb Ervin.

Mr. Ervin was a 1955 graduate of Ironton High School and attended Ohio University. He retired from the United States Army as a Sergeant First Class after 20 years of service. He served three tours of duty in Vietnam and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal w/ Oak Leaf Cluster; Vietnam Service Medal w/ 11 Bronze Service Stars; Vietnam Campaign Medal w/ 60 Device; Vietnam Cross of Gallantry w/Palm; Good Conduct Medal; Army Commendation Medal w/Oak Leaf Clusters.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Yvonne Olinger Ervin; and brother, Larry Ervin. He is survived by his special friend of 28 years Edna Bishop of Ironton; sister, Rita McCauley of Baudette, Minn.; brother, Isaac Ervin Jr. of Ironton; sister with whom he resided, Myrna Griffith of Ironton; brother, Craig Ervin of Wheelersburg; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Veteran Section of Woodland Cemetery with Pastor Steve Harvey officiating.  Charles Weisenberger

Charles E. “Chock” Weisenberger, 84, of Cincinnati, died Friday, Aug. 24, 2012. He was the beloved husband of the late Alice M. “Ak” Weisenberger, loving father of Becky Weisenberger (Randall), Annie (Mike) Davis, Vickie Weisenberger Stefke, Tom, Ron and Randy Weisenberger (Connie), and the late Nancy and Kaye Weisenberger.

He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by many brothers and sisters.

Visitation at Hodapp Funeral Home, 7401 Vine St., Cincinnati, 45216 on Wednesday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.  Delbert Chambers

Delbert Cleo “DC” Chambers, 84, of Flatwoods, Ky., died Monday, Aug. 27, 2012.. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at the First Pentecostal Church of Christ, 1110 Bellefonte Road, Flatwoods, with Pastors Henry Montgomery, James Rayburn and Shane Cox. Burial will follow at Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods.
