One arrested in dog slayings
A Pedro man has been arrested in the brutal killing of two family dogs.
Brian L. Sharp, 20, of 339 Township Road 324, Pedro, was arrested by Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office this morning.
He is charged with prohibition concerning companion animals, which is a first degree misdemeanor. He is also charged with criminal trespassing is a fourth- degree misdemeanor.
On Saturday Josie and Mike Scythes, 397 State Route 373, Pedro, came home to find their two dogs stabbed and with their throats slashed.
There is no clear motive at this time for the crime, according to Sheriff Jeff Lawless.
Sharp allegedly named another accomplice.
