Marvin Marshall

Marvin Marshall, 51, of Gallipolis, went home to be with his dad and brother Sunday morning at his home.

He was the son of Macie Spears Marshall of Ironton and the late Shirley Marshall. Marvin was a heavy equipment operator and was of the Christian faith.

In addition to his dad, he was preceded in death by a brother, Nathan Victor Marshall.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by a son, Nathaniel Marshall of Ironton; three sisters, Barbara Rice and her husband James of Andis, Mary Jane Holschuh and her husband Darrell of South Point, and Linda Burns and her husband Wayne of Athens; two brothers, Roger Marshall and his wife Mary of Coal Grove, and Ralph Marshall of Andis and a host of family and friends.

Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of the Brown Funeral Chapel with evangelist James Rice officiating. Burial will follow in the Marshall-Ross Family Cemetery at Andis. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Friends may call from 6 – 9 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral chapel. Memorial donations should be made to the funeral chapel to help with final expenses. Mason McClellan

Mason Jeffrey McClellan, infant son of Mark McClellan and Heather Greene McClellan of Ironton, passed away Saturday Aug. 25, 2012, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky.

In addition to his parents Mason is survived by a sister, Lillyan McClellan of Ironton, maternal grandparents, Carol and Matt Cantrell of Ashland, Ky., Tony and Pamela Greene, also of Ashland; paternal grandparents, Mark and Tracy McClellan of Ironton; maternal great-grandparents, Hobart and Christina Greene of Ashland and Carolyn and Frank Alderson of Ashland; paternal great-grandparents, Gloria McClellan of Ironton and Joan Lambert of Haverhill; maternal great-great-grandmother, Leona Hall of Ashland; aunts and uncles, Holley and Alex Mauk of Colorado Springs, Colo., Michael Greene Jr. of Ashland, and Erik McClellan of Los Angeles, Calif.

He was preceded in death by a maternal great-grandfather, Bill Evans; paternal great-grandfather, John McClellan and paternal great-grandfather, Ronald Lambert

Henry Taylor Jr.

Henry Taylor Jr., 86, of South Point, died Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012, at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky. Memorial service will be 4 p.m. Saturday at Hall Funeral Home. Condolences may be expressed at www.timeformemory.com/hall.

 Celia Dennison

Celia Wanola Baker Dennison, 85, of Jacksonville, Fla., formerly of Proctorville, died at her home in Jacksonville, Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012. Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Union Missionary Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the church. Entombment will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville.
