Mary Snead

Mary Gordon Snead, 74, of Ironton passed away Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012, at a local health care center. The Radford, Va., native was born Dec. 3, 1937, the daughter of the late James Daniel and Helen Tordiff Snead.

Mary worked for Tri-State Industries in the workshop and was a member of Central Christian Church in Ironton. She loved playing with her nieces and nephews and visiting with friends and family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James F. Snead; a sister, Barbara Snead Lawless; and a nephew, David L. Snead.

She is survived by two sisters, Betty Snead Compston of Coal Grove and June Snead Calhoun and her husband, Dan of Houston, Texas; two brothers, Ralph T. Snead of Ironton and Charles J. Snead and his wife, Yvonne of Coal Grove; two sisters-in-law, Leah Rae Smith Snead of Ironton and Lois Justice Snead of Brookings, Ore.; 18 nieces and nephews, 39 great nieces and nephews, 37 and great-great-nieces and nephews; and special friends, Steve and Carol Wierenga of Ironton.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Phillips Funeral Home with Minister Brent Baker and Minister Phil Lemaster officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery. Visitation will be noon until the time of the service Monday. Pallbearers will be Bob Snead, Damon Snead, Levi Runyon, Jeff Lawless, and Paul Lawless. Judy Espinoza

Judy Ruggles Espinoza, 45, of Ironton, died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012 at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky. Arrangements are pending at Phillips Funeral Home.

 

Nicholas Denovchik

Nicholas Denovchik, 65, of Huntington, W.Va., died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012, at his residence. He was the husband of Wanda Denovchik, who survives. Arrangements are pending at Hall Funeral Home.

 

Darrell Ruggles

Darrell Wayne Ruggles, 39, of Ironton, died Friday, Sept. 21, 2012 at Appalachian Regional Hospital in Pike County, Ky. He was the husband of Margaret Ann Ruggles, who survives. Arrangements are pending at Phillips Funeral Home.
