Lady Pointers notch volleyball, soccer wins

SOUTH POINT — The Chesapeake Lady Panthers dropped an Ohio Valley Conference volleyball match in straight sets to the South Point Lady Pointers on Tuesday.
Macy Allen had 10 points and 8 kills to lead the Lady Panthers. Carrie Brock had 46 sets and 5 assists while Melanie Noble had 35 sets with 7 assists.
In the junior varsity game, South Point won 25-15, 25-15.
The Lady Panthers visit Ironton on Wednesday with the freshman match starting at 5 p.m.

SOUTH POINT — The South Point Lady Pointers blanked the Lincoln County (W.Va.) Lady Panthers 3-0 Tuesday in a soccer game.
South Point got goals from Emilee Powell, Jessie Forrest and Stormie Ward.
Goalkeeper Alex Ross-Aaron registered 5 saves.
The Lady Pointers improved to 3-7-1 on the season.
