The Division IV Region 15 semifinals games will be in the same neighborhood.

The Ironton Fighting Tigers (7-3) will face the Johnstown-Monroe Johnnies (9-2) in a semifinal game at Athens High School while St. Clairsville (11-0) battles Piketon (9-2) a few miles up the road at Logan High School.

Both games will be at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

The winners of Friday’s game will meet in the regional championship game the following week with the survivor advancing to the state semifinals.

Ironton and Johnstown met last year in the regional semifinals and the Johnnies won 34-7.

Another game that will be played nearby but on Saturday has Oak Hill going against Liberty Union in a Division V Region 19 semifinal game at Nelsonville-York High School at 7 p.m.

Div. III will also be played on Saturday. Gallipolis plays Dayton Thurgood Marshall at Western Brown Stadium while Athens (10-1) goes against Hamilton Township (11-1) at 7:30 p.m.
