Carol Hall

Carol Sue Hall, 74, of South Point, passed away Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at Community Hospice Care Center, Ashland, Ky. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Vernon Cemetery, Pedro, with Sammy Cooke officiating.

Carol was born June 26, 1938, in Wheelersburg, a daughter of the late Donald L. and Helen Howard Hall. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Marylin Jean Stoll.

She is survived by her husband, Glen R. Hall; one son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Joan Freeman Hall; two grandsons, Wesley and Wyatt Hall; five granddaughters, Haily, Holly, Hunter, Harlee and Hannah Hall; and one sister Judith Ellen (Harold) Stoll of Richmond, Ky.

Roy Sturgill

Roy Lee Sturgill, 80, of Chesapeake, died Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at home. He is survived by his wife Garnet Nelson Sturgill. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, by Pastor Carl Black and Pastor Jody Fortner. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery, Kenova, W.Va. Proctorville VFW Post 6878 will conduct military graveside rites. Visitaton will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.  Sophia Wilson

Sophia Wilson, 97, of Kitts Hill, died Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at Community Hospice Care Center. Arrangements are pending at Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home.

 

 Shelby Baisden

Shelby Jean Baisden, 71, of South Point, died Sunday, Nov. 18. 2012, at home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, by Pastor Jeff Black. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Pecks Mills, W.Va. Visitation will be 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.  Glendon Cade

Glendon Francis “Bud” Cade, Jr., 73, of Ironton, passed away Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012, at Our Lady of Bellefonte in Russell, Ky. The Lawrence County native was born July 22, 1939, the son of the late Glendon Francis Sr. and Zona Mae McCormick Cade. He is survived by his wife, Kay Lawson Cade, whom he married June 29, 1958.

Bud attended Rock Hill High School and was a former superintendent for Childers Construction for 50 years, retiring in 1995. He was a former Upper Township Volunteer Fire Chief for three years and accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior on Nov. 17, 2012.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Freda May Matthews and Debra Lynn Russell; and brother-in-law, David Hackworth.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by son, Glendon G. Cade and his wife Mary of Ironton; daughter, Susan Kay Scior of Ironton; granddaughter, Leanne Munion and her husband Ryan Munion of Ironton; granddaughter, Taylor Scior of Ironton; great-grandson, Logan Munion of Ironton; great-granddaughter, Lauren Munion of Ironton; great-grandson, Nolan Munion of Ironton; and brothers and sisters and their spouses, Betty and Trubby May, Ronald and Betty Gail Cade, Delores Hackworth, Kathy and Keith Bevins, Dwayne and Teresa Cade, all of Ironton, Maxine and John Haskins, George and Brenda Cade of Pedro, Robert Russell of Flatwoods, Ky., Belford and Shelby Cade of Newark, Clyde Mathews of Marysville, and Kathleen and Ernie Wilson of Marysville.

Funeral service will be noon Wednesday at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 S. Seventh St., Ironton, Ohio 45638 with the Rev. Bob Bradley officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery and visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Wednesday at the funeral home. Grace Morgan Greene, 92, of Woodlands Retirement Community Huntington, W.Va., died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012. Funeral service will be conducted noon Wednesday at Beulah Baptist Church, Proctorville. Burial will follow in Ravenswood Cemetery, Ravenswood, W.Va. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until noon Wednesday at the church.
