COAL GROVE — The Chesapeake Lady Panthers made sure this one was over early.
Chesapeake raced to a 20-8 first quarter lead and never looked back as the Lady Panthers beat the Rose Hill Christian Lady Royals 66-37 Saturday in the River Battle at Coal Grove High School.
Kaylee Curry had 15 points and 10 rebounds, Jordan Porter got 14 points and 8 rebounds, Sydnee Hall added 14 pionts and 5 assists and Kelsey Curry had 5 steals to lead the Lady Panthers (4-1).
Myriah Porter had 12 points for the Royals (0-7).
Hall scored 9 points in the first quarter as Chesapeake took the big lead.
Porter got 7 points in the second quarter and it was 40-18 at the half.
The lead was 54-26 after three quarters and Kaylee Curry came off the bench to score 7 points in the fourth quarter.
Chesapeake hosts the Lady Peake Invitational Wednesday and Friday. Boyd County plays Lincoln County at 6 p.m. on Wednesday followed by Chesapeake and Wayne.
