Juanita Street
Juanita W. Street, 83, of Coal Grove, formerly of Baltimore, Md., where she was an active member of the Eastern Star, passed away Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at the King’s Daughter Medical Center, Ashland, Ky. She was born May 10, 1929 in Logan, W.Va., to the late John T. and Zetta (Gore) Walsh.
Juanita graduated from Logan High School and was retired after 45 years of service as an executive secretary for the Bethlehem Steel Company.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Claude R. Street; four brothers, Tennis, James, Chester,and John Walsh; four sisters, Flora Belle Mayo, Rowena Christian, Sharon Sue Willis and Easter Walsh; and one cousin, Ronald Walsh.
She is survived by three sisters, Anna (Lawrence) Derifield of Sebastian, Fla., Nina Willis of Rock Camp and Audrey Pennington of Coal Grove; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be noon Wednesday at the Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home, with Wayne Wise officiating. Burial will follow at Ice Creek Cemetery, Deering. Visitation will be from 11a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday.

Raymond Allen
Raymond F. Allen, 84, of Ironton, passed away Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky. The Ironton native was born Feb. 12, 1928, the son of the late Benjamin Franklin Allen and Vidas Rader Kelley. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Doris Lyons Allen. Raymond served in the U.S. Merchant Marines and was a self-employed salesman for many years. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Coal Grove. He loved to play music and was in his own band as a young man. He was a strong family man who loved his children and grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death two daughters, Connie McCormick and Bonnie Ellis; two sons, Roger Lyons and James Bostick; two brothers, Harry and Bill Allen; and sister, Aretta Hamilton.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Michelle Allen of Ironton; son and daughter-in-law, Kelley and Hilary Allen, of Coral Springs, Fla.; son and daughter-in-law Alvin “Boonie” and Dianna Lyons of Ironton; daughter and son-in-law, Deenna and Jesse Ogg of Midway, Texas; brother, Clyde Allen of Baltimore, Md.; sister, Tiny Louise Goff of Livingston, Texas; 23 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 1p.m. Tuesday at Phillips Funeral Home with Rev. Darrell Ford officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens.

James McKenzie
James “Jim” Carl McKenzie, 83, of Ashland, Ky., died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland. He was the husband of Carol Jean Williams-McKenzie, who survives. There will be no visitation and a private graveside service for the immediate family only on Monday. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods, Ky. Imogene Sites
Imogene Sites, 85, of Ironton, died on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, at home. She was a homemaker. She was born Nov. 12, 1927, the daughter of the late Gus and Stella Barratt Johnson and preceded by her husband Clyde (Bus) Vanhoose, and one son Frankie Gregory . Survivors include one son Tom Sites of Ironton; two daughters,Wanda McSorley of Toledo and Nellie Rice of Ironton; and one sister, Ruby Akers of Defiance. There will be no visitation or services. O’Keefe-Baker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
