FRANKLIN FURNACE — Amber Neal’s shooting was three-mendous.

Neal drained seven 3-point goals and scored 23 points to lead the St. Joseph Female Flyers to a 50-20 win over the Green Lady Bobcats Wednesday.

“Amber Neal had a great shooting performance. Any time you make seven 3s in a game is pretty good and she shot a good percentage,” said St. Joseph coach Nick Miller.

Hannah Miller scored 13 points for the Female Flyers who improved to 12-2.

“Hannah played a good defensive game and it was nice to have Amber scoring. It’s a real plus to have different people who can hurt the other team offensively,” said coach Miller.

Giula Elli scored 10 points to lead Green (1-10).

Neal knocked down a pair of 3-pointers and scored 8 points in the first quarter as St. Joseph took a 10-4 lead.

Neal buried three more trifectas in the second quarter as St. Joseph outscored Green 11-5 to take a 21-9 halftime lead. Elli had all off Green’s points in the quarter.

Hannah Miller scored 5 points in the third quarter as the Female Flyers opened up a 37-15 cushion.

St. Joseph will play Hannan, W.Va., Thursday as part of a triple-header. The junior high girls play at 5 p.m. followed by the junior high boys and then the varsity girls.
