PORTSMOUTH — The Broadway play “The Addams Family” will come to the Vern Riffe Center for the Arts stage on Monday, April 1 at 7:30 p.m.
Based on the television and comic series of the same name, “The Addams Family” is about every father’s nightmare. Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a normal, sweet, smart young man from a respectable family — a man her parents have never met.
Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents.
“The Addams Family” is a wonderfully weird and funny story. Tickets are $50 for lower tier and $48 for upper tier with discounts for seniors and students.
Tickets may be purchased at the McKinley Box Office in the Vern Riffe Center for the Arts at Shawnee State University from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, online at www.ticketmaster.com or any Ticketmaster Outlet, or by calling 740-351-3600.
“The Addams Family” is sponsored by the Southern Ohio Medical Center (SOMC) and Fluor-B&W Portsmouth. For more information, visit www.sopaa.org.
