Mike was a graduate of Lake Highland High School and was employed several years at Big Sandy Furniture in Wheelersburg. He was born to be a Dallas Cowboy and Texas Longhorn fan but also became a Buckeye fan after moving to Ohio. The true testimony of his character showed in how he tended to Jordan and always praised him for his accomplishments, whether it be winning a medal at the Special Olympics or getting a good grade on his spelling test.
