BEAVER — It wasn’t official, but it seemed like it was Micah Lewis Day on Wednesday.

Lewis pitched and hit the Lady Bobcats to an 8-3 Southern Ohio Conference win over the Eastern Lady Eagles.

Lewis had a perfect game through five innings. She struck out five, walked five and gave up two his in 5.2 innings. Jenna Crawford finished up and struck out three.

“Lewis pitched a heck of a game. She just got a little tired in the sixth,” said Green coach Dale Royse. “We made some nice plays in the field and we hit the ball. We’re starting to look like a softball team.”

Green (5-4, 3-1) had 10 hits with Lewis going 4-4 including a double and a home run. Hannah Cline was 2-3.

Green took a 2-0 lead in the third inning.

Lewis singled and took second on an error, stole third and scored on a hit by Jenna Crawford. An outfield error sent Crawford to third base and she scored on a passed ball.

Green made it 6-0 in the fourth with two outs.

Cline doubled, Ciera Davis singled and Madi Applegate had a bunt single to score a run. A throwing error scored a run and then Lewis followed with a two-run homer.

The final two runs scored in the seventh on a double by Lewis, Crawford’s RBI single, a sacrifice by Erin Imes and Emma Salisbury’s RBI ground out.
