CHESAPEAKE — It was all about the offense.

The Rock Hill Redwomen racked up 15 hits including six doubles and two home runs in a 13-2 Ohio Valley Conference win over the Chesapeake Lady Panthers on Monday.

Sami Nixon went 3-4 with a home run and a double at the plate and also picked up the win as she pitched a two-hitter, striking out six and walking one.

Kenzi Martin went 3-5 with two doubles, Sami Dillon 2-3, Kenzi Harrah 2-4 and Brook Hanshaw 2-4 and Lindy Simpson belted a grand slam home run for the Redowmen (9-3, 5-1).

“We hit the ball well tonight. Overall, I thought we played well,” said Rock Hill coach Mary Jane Harper.

The game was scoreless until the third when Rock Hill scored four runs with two outs.

Hanshaw walked, Martin doubled, Harrah walked and Simpson cranked her grand slam.

Rock Hill got a run in the fourth, two in the fifth and one in the sixth to take an 8-2 lead.

In a five-run seventh, Dillon and Jenna Lane singled and Nixon hit a three-run homer. Hanshaw and Martin singled and Harrah had a two-run double.

Anna Mayo and Melanie Noble each went 1-3 for Chesapeake.
