Polly Remy
Polly A. Remy, 51, of Pedro, passed away Friday, May 17, 2013, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky., after a long battle with cancer. The Lawrence County native was born April 8, 1962, the daughter of the late Leonard and Sarah Crabtree Sexton.
Ms. Remy attended Dawson-Bryant High School. She was a self-employed housekeeper, a member of the Coal Grove Betterment Club and a member of the Coal Grove Church of the Nazarene.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a niece, Melissa Sexton; and an uncle, Clarence Crabtree.
She is survived by two daughters, Rebecca and Tommy Ghee and Amy Remy, all of South Point; a son, Homer Remy and April Wilson of South Point; four sisters, Linda Dailey of Lexington, Ky., Mary and David Arthur of Ironton, Debbie and George McGhee of Pedro, and Loretta and Sam Thomas of Ironton; two brothers, Randy Sexton of Chillicothe, and Eugene and Betty Crabtree of Ashland, Ky.; eight grandchildren, Thomas Ghee, Brittany Ghee, Brooklyn Ghee, Katlyn Remy, Joseph Jenkins, Emily Allan, Austin Remy and Noah Remy all of South Point; and two close friends, Ina Kirk of Ashland, Ky. and Vicki McDaniel of Coal Grove.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Coal Grove Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Jeff Canfield officiating. Burial will follow in Myrtle Ridge Cemetery and visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Phillips Funeral Home. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service at the church. Noah Jergler
Noah Jergler, of Campbell, Calif., and formerly of Ironton, passed away May 1, 2013.
In remembrance of Noah, he was a gentle man who brought humor and a sense of honor to us all. An avid fisherman and Air Force veteran, Noah is survived by his wife of 42 years, Shirlee, and children, Jill Jergler, Eric Rager and Ron Rager; siblings, Connie Atkinson, Jim Jergler, Tim Jergler, Debbie Summers and Kathy Bell.

Mildred Mullins
Mildred Lois Mullins, 88, of Chesapeake, died Thursday, May 16, 2013, in Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington, W.Va. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Galloway officiating. Burial will be in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville.
