Brandie Arthur

Brandie Lynn Arthur, 39, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, June 2, 2013, following a brief illness.

She was born May 23, 1974, to Linda Campfield Arthur and Charles Douglas Arthur. Brandie is preceded in death by her loving grandparents, Nora and Thomas Campfield of Catlettsburg, Ky., and Charles Arthur of South Point.

Left behind to cherish her memories are a loving and devoted family including her daughter, Megan Runyon; a loving brother, Tony Arthur; her parents, Linda Campfield and Charles Douglas Arthur; a niece, Morgan Arthur; a nephew, Charlie Arthur of South Point; grandmother, Doris Arthur; Aunt Connie Arthur of South Point; Uncle Larry Arthur and Cheryl of North Carolina; Aunts and Uncles Sandy and Roger Stewart of Catlettsburg, Everett and Pamela Stevens of Ashland, and Dorothy White of Catlettsburg and a host of cousins and friends.

Brandie is a graduate of Boyd County High School and Collins Career Center earning certification as a phlebotomist. She enjoyed a career of instructing future phlebotomists and worked in the South Point School System as a teaching assistant working with children with special needs. Brandie’s focus in life was giving all that she had to those in need and caring for those who could not care for themselves. She was a devoted mother to her daughter, Megan, a devoted daughter to her parents, Linda and Doug, and a devoted sister to her brother, Tony. She loved life and lived each day to its fullest serving others. Brandie will be sadly missed by those that knew her and loved her.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Kilgore & Collier Funeral Home on Panola Street in Catlettsburg, by Pastor Everett Stevens. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Ironton.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.

Colin Johnson

Colin Johnson Jr., 85, of South Point, died Thursday, June 6, 2013, in Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home. Burial will follow in McSweeney family cemetery.

Colin was born Nov. 2, 1927, in Goodwill, W.Va., a son of the late Colin and Ina Tanner Murray Johnson. He was a retired finance officer for Commercial Credit and a U.S. Navy veteran. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a great grandson, Jacob Bryan Thacker.

Colin is survived by his two daughters and their spouses, Patsy Lynn and Joe McSweeney, and Kimberly and Harold “Bob” Collins; three grandchildren, Stacey Anne (Jon) Thacker, Colin Dwayne McSweeney, and Joshua Aaron Collins and his companion, Erin Adkins; one great grandson, Wyatt Joseph Thacker; one sister, Sue Adams; two brothers, Vester and Wilford Johnson; his spouse of 52 years and mother of his children, Mary Alice “Ricki” Johnson; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Chuck Black

Chuck Black, 56, of Proctorville, died Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington, W.Va. Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, by Pastor Dwayne Shugert. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville. Marjorie Milligan

Marjorie A. Milligan died Tuesday, June 4, 2013. She was the wife of Charles E. Milligan Sr., who survives. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the Mackey Mortuary Chapel, Greenville, S.C. The obituary and condolences are on line at www.mackeymortuary.com.

Leland Keeney

Leland E. Keeney, 72, of Scottown, died Thursday, June 6, 2013 at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington, W.Va. He was the husband of Judy Mannon Keeney, who survives. Arrangements are pending at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point.

 

Patsy Cremeans

Patsy Ann Cremeans, 71 of South Point, Thursday, June 6, 2013 at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, W.Va. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens.

Penny Webb

Penny Rose Webb, 52, of Ironton, passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at her residence. The Cincinnati native was born Dec. 15, 1960, the daughter of the late Frank and Betty Noble Weisenberger. She is survived by her husband, Clifford Webb of Ironton, whom she married March 25, 1977.

Mrs. Webb attended the school for the blind in Columbus. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren, friends and playing bingo. She was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Deborah Roach and Kristie Hightower.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Amanda Potter of Flatwoods, Ky.; two grandchildren, Elizabeth Potter and Andrew Potter, both of Flatwoods; five brothers, Ted Weisenberger of Florida, Tim Weisenberger, Terry Weisenberger, Jamie Weisenberger and Cameron Weisenberger, all of Marion; two sisters, Brenda Gannon of East Liberty and Beverly Bailey of Marion.

Randy Lother

Randy Carson Lother, 59 of Bellefonte, Ky., died Tuesday, June 5, 2013 following a short illness.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Carman Funeral Home-Flatwoods. Visitation will be Saturday from 6-9 p.m. at Wildwood First Church of God-3500 S. 29th St. Ashland, Ky.

Miriam Kazee

Miriam Lucille “Ginger” Kazee, 62, of Flatwoods, Ky., died Wednesday, June 6, 2013, at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky. She is survived by her husband, Donald Kazee.
