Mary Boyle

Mary Boyle, 80, of Kettering, died Friday, June 21, 2013, at Kettering Hospital. She was born March 27, 1933, to Harry and Rose Boyle. She was a devoted daughter, sister and aunt, who was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Lorena Boyle and Margaret Goldcamp; and five brothers: Harry, James, Ralph, Alfred and Franklin Boyle.

She is survived by one sister, Alfreda L. Graf of Kettering, numerous nieces and nephews and her Bunko sisters. Mary was a 1950 graduate of St. Joseph High School in Ironton. She retired from Ironton Iron and was a longtime member of Ascension Church. She enjoyed dominos, bowling and traveling.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Ascension Church, 2025 Woodman Drive, Kettering, at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday with Father Chris Worland officiating. A visitation will take place at the church from 10:30 a..m. until the time of the service. Graveside service and burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Ironton, at 12 p.m. Wednesday. Bonnie Riggs

Bonnie Mae Riggs, 52, of South Point, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2013, at Cornerstone Hospital in Huntington, W.Va. The Ironton native was born March 24, 1961, a daughter of the late Jack Short and Geneva Williamson Arms.

Bonnie attended Dawson-Bryant schools and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Ironton Eagles Club and enjoyed camping and spending time with family and friends.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill Short and Bert Short; nephew, Delbert Short; great nephews, James Tyler Garrison and Ricky Lewis Short Jr.; and great nieces, Heather Elaine Short and Sarah Marie Booth.

She is survived by her husband of 34 years Everett Douglas Riggs whom she married April 7, 1979; daughter, Melissa Riggs of South Point; granddaughter, Veronica Riggs of South Point; grandson, Shawn Riggs of South Point; sister, Mary Lewis of Kitts Hill;

brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Rosa Short of Kitts Hill; brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Miranda Short of South Point; sister, Sue Cremeans of Chesapeake; sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Eric Cooper of Proctorville; and several nieces and nephews

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Phillips Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Comer and the Rev. Mike Triplett officiating. Burial will follow in Langdon Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The family request donation be made to Phillips Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses. Carl Sizemore

Carl R. (Hoot) Sizemore, 65, died on Sunday, June 23, 2013, at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky. Arrangements are pending at O’Keefe Baker Funeral Home.
