Lady Panthers split matches

CHESAPEAKE — The Chesapeake Lady Panthers split a pair of Ohio Valley Conference volleyball matches this week.
The Lady Panthers lost to Fairland on Tuesday in straight sets, 17-25, 10-25 and 22-25. Carley Lester had 11 points and Carrie Brock 5 for Chesapeake.
In the junior varsity match, Chesapeake won in three sets, 23-25, 25-23 and 25-21. Kesley Huff and Jozy Jones scored 11 points each for the Lady Panthers.
Chesapeake bounced back with a straight sets win over Rock Hill on Thursday.
Carrie Brock had 11 points and Tia Spaulding 11 as Chesapeake won 25-18, 25-20 and 25-22.
In the reserve match, the Lady Panthers won 25-8, 25-22 with Huff getting 10 points and Kaylee Curry 8.
Chesapeake hosts Ironton at 5:30 p.m. Monday.
