A South Point woman will have to put up a large amount of cash to post bond after answering to five counts of drug trafficking.

Tina McCloud, 46, of 5325 County Road 15, was arraigned on a first-degree count of trafficking in drugs (oxycodone) on an indictment that was returned last week.

She was also arraigned on charges from a 2012 indictment, which were two counts each of third- and fourth-degree trafficking.

McCloud pleaded not guilty to all charges.

Prosecuting Attorney Brigham Anderson asked for a cash bond of $150,000 to be set.

“She was trafficking a substantial amount of drugs into the community,” Anderson said, adding that McCloud faces 20 years in prison for the charges.

McCloud’s attorney, Philip Heald, said the bond was excessive.

“It might as well be $150 million,” Heald said.

Judge D. Scott Bowling set the recommended bond and added a $100,000 own-recognizance bond. A pretrial was set for Oct. 9.
