Georgia Frazier

Georgia Mae Frazier, 83, of Ironton, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2013, at her residence. The Ironton native was born June 25, 1930, a daughter to the late Daniel Grey Hurn and Elizabeth Urick Hurn.

Georgia was a graduate of St. Joseph High School and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ironton. She was a gemologist for Allyn’s Jewelers in Ironton for more than 50 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, Robert L. Frazier; a son, Ronald Grey Frazier; three sisters, Clara Selb, Betty Rist and Barbara Ann Reed; and three brothers, Bob Hurn, Bill Hurn and Dan Hurn Jr.

She is survived by a sister, Mary Frances Stewart, of South Point; and several nieces and nephews

Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ironton with Father David Huffman officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home with a Rosary Service beginning at 7:30 p.m. Donations may be made to the Community Hospice 1480 Carter Ave. Ashland, KY 41101. Alice Fischer

Alice Faye Fischer, 65, of Proctorville, died Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2013, at Jo-Lin Health Care Center. She was the wife of Wendell Ray Fischer, who survives. Arrangements are pending at Hall Funeral Home.
