Maxine Lambert

Maxine Bowman Lambert, 85, of Ironton, passed away Friday, Jan. 3, 2014, at Community Hospice in Ashland, Ky. Mrs. Lambert was born Oct. 17, 1928, the daughter of the late Everett and Darline McIntyre.

Mrs. Lambert was a graduate of Ironton High School Class of 1947 and was a homemaker. Mrs. Lambert was a member of Coal Grove United Memorial Methodist Church and River Valley Hospital Auxiliary.

In addition to her parents her first husband, Berkley Bowman; second husband, Warren Lambert; two infant daughters, Pamela and Jana Bowman; a brother, Don McIntyre; and a sister-in-law, Betty McIntyre, preceded Mrs. Lambert in death.

She is survived by a daughter, Teresa and Ron Moore, of Worthington, Ky.; two grandsons, Matthew and Mati Topping, of Hilton Head Island, S.C.; and Mark and Jeannette Topping, of Huntersville, N.C.; three great-grandchildren, Sophia, Julia and William Topping; a brother, Emmett McIntyre, of South Point; two sisters, Barbara Jenkins, of Kitts Hill; and Sharon Lightner, of Ironton; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home with the Rev. Brad Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home in Ironton.
