Joan Fannin

Joan “Jody” Fannin, 57, of Ironton went to be with the Lord on Friday, Jan. 17, 2014, at home. The Ironton native was born Jan. 25, 1956, a daughter of the late Walden Richard and Helen Virginia Hoptry Fannin.

Jody attended Open Door School, Dawson-Bryant School and was a 1975 graduate of Ironton High School. She was a member of Central Christian Church, where she loved to sing and fellowship with her church family.

She is survived by her two brothers and their wives: Philip Michael and Carolyn Jean Roadcup Fannin and J. Patric and Mary Kingery Fannin, all of Ironton. Also surviving are two nieces: Deborah Jean (Mrs. Curtis) Cooke and Christi Lynn (Mrs. Aaron) Heighton; one niece-in-law, Amanda (Mrs. Richard) Fannin; and two nephews: Jordan Patric Fannin and Christian Michael Fannin. She is also survived by great nieces and great nephews: Joshua Curtis Cooke, Mariah Jean Cooke, Madelyn Elaine Heighton, Matthew James Heighton and Mitchell Aaron Heighton. Jody had very special friends, Juanita Roadcup, Joy Heighton, Sarah Carman and Charla Snead Reedy, whom she was always overjoyed to hear from and see.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday at the Tracy Brammer – Monroe Funeral Home in Ironton with minister Phil Lemaster of Central Christian Church officiating. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery, section 10, where Jody will be laid to rest next to her Daddy and Momma. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of service on Monday.

Pallbearers will be Christian Fannin, Jordan Fannin, Curtis Cooke, Josh Cooke, Aaron Heighton and Jim Heighton. Honorary pallbearers are Matthew Heighton and Mitchell Heighton.

Tyler Preston

Delmas Tyler Preston, 33, of Westwood, Ky., died Friday, Jan. 17, 2014, at his home. Funeral will be at noon Wednesday at Fairview Baptist Church with Brother Mike Rice and Brother Justin Boyd. Burial will be in Dixon Cemetery. Visitation is at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the church.

 

 

Imogene Fayne

Mary Hester

Mary Ann Conley-Hester, 73, of Ashland, Ky., died Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014, at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell, Ky. She is survived by her husband Drew Hester of Ashland. Funeral services will be at Bridges Christian Church in Russell at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will follow at Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods.
