SCIOTOVILLE — The slide is over.

The St. Joseph Female Flyers ended a five-game losing streak with a 66-23 romp over the Sciotoville East Lady Tartans on Monday.

“We played well defensively and we shot the ball well. It was nice to get back on the winning side,” said Female Flyers’ coach Nick Miller.

Hannah Miller scored eight points and Amber Neal scored five to lead six different players who scored in the first quarter as St. Joseph bolted to a 25-4 cushion.

Hannah Miller score 11 and Lynsey Booker six more to account for all of St. Joseph’s points in the second quarter as the lead grew to 42-6 at the break.

Molly Miller score six points and seven different players scored in the third quarter as coach Miller began substituting early in the third quarter.

Hannah Miller finished with 19 points and Booker scored 13.

The Female Flyers play at Raceland, Ky., on Wednesday in a makeup game.
