The Fairland Lady Dragons had it going inside and out.

With 6-foot-4 Michigan signee Terra Stapleton scoring inside, Caitlin Stone did the damage outside as they combined for 33 points to lead the Fairland Lady Dragons to a 60-42 rout of the Lewis County Lady Lions Saturday in the Tackett Body Shop Shootout in Ironton.

Stapleton scored 17 points to lead Fairland (13-3). Stone scored 16 points and Kelsey Riley added 10 points.

Emily Frye had 15 points to lead Lewis County (13-8).

Stapleton kept the Lady Dragons ahead in the first half before Stone got hot and scored 14 points in the third quarter as Fairland blew the game open.

Stapleton scored seven points in the first quarter as Fairland took a 13-11 lead. Jacey Fite hit a pair of 3-pointers and scored seven points for Lewis County.

Stapleton had five points and Riley score four as the Lady Dragons went up 23-19 at the half. Frye had two 3-pointers in the second quarter to keep the Lady Lions close.

But Stone drained four 3-pointers in the third quarter and Fairland outscored Lewis County22-11 to build a 45-30 cushion.

Seven different players scored in the fourth quarter as the Lady Dragons continued to cruise.

Fairland plays at Oak Hill on Monday in a key non-league match-up.
