Hornets’ sectional tourney tix on sale

Tickets for the Coal Grove Hornets’ Division III sectional tournament finals are currently on sale in the high school guidance office.

Tickets are $5 and fans are encouraged to buy tickets in advance. The school receives only a small percentage of the presale.

Coal Grove plays Nelsonville-York at 8:30 p.m. Friday in the sectional finals at Jackson High School.

 

Ironton sectional tourney tix on sale

Tickets for the Ironton Fighting Tigers’ Division III sectional tournament game are on sale at the high school auto shop during school hours.

Tickets are $5 and fans are encouraged to buy tickets in advance. The school receives only a small percentage of the presale.

Ironton plays Federal Hocking at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19, at Jackson High School.

 

Ironton Little League plans registrations

Ironton National Little league will hold final walk-in registrations from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Ironton Middle School.

Tryouts for ages 7-12 will be held Saturday, March 1, at the Ironton Middle School. Tryouts will be closed to everyone except for players, managers and coaches and INLL board members and other essential volunteer personnel.

Registrations will be accepted during tryouts provided forms are presented at least 30 minutes prior to the youth’s scheduled tryout.

Tryout times are 9 a.m. for ages 11-12, 11 a.m. for ages 9-10, and 1 p.m. for ages 7-8.

Also, the league will host a Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit & Run competition on March 15. Contact a league official for details.

 

 

Rock Hill LL plans final registrations

Due to the inclement weather, the Rock Hill Little League, will conduct final registrations from 3:30-to-6:30 p.m. Friday at the league office located above the concession stand on the back baseball field.

Fee is $35 for the first child and $25 for each additional child.

Please present birth certificates and school report card. If a report card is not available, present three proofs of residence (driver’s license, utility bills, medical bills, insurance bills, etc.).

 

 

Lady Vikings’ softball plans rummage sale

The Symmes Valley Lady Vikings’ softball team will host their seventh annual indoor rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 1, in the high school gym.

Anyone with items to donate are asked to drop them off between 4-8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 28. If anyone needs items picked up, call coach Jeff “Odie” Estep at (740) 643-2371 (school) or 643-2021 (home).
