Wizards will visit So. Point

The Village of South Point has declared Monday, March 17, as Harlem Wizards Day as a way of thanking them for their charitable spirit and being ambassadors of goodwill to the community.
The Wizards will make their triumphant and only return to the Tri-State this year at the South Point High School on the same Monday.
The event is part of the Wizards ‘Slamtastic Tour’ and serves as a fund-raiser for the South Point Little League. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. with the doors opening at 6:00.
Advanced tickets are only $8.00 for students and $10.00 for adults, and are available at FoodFair of South Point, or online at www.harlemwizards.com.
Any remaining tickets will be available at the door for $2.00 more.
Since 1962, the Harlem Wizards have performed ‘Trick Hoops & Alley Oops’ for thousands of fans worldwide.
The Wizards’ opponent on the South Point stop is the Pointer Pound, a team consisting of local celebrities, teachers, and volunteers.
The Pointer Pound team includes Cledus T Judd (WTCR), Judy Eaton (WTCR), Dave Roberts (WKEE), Jim Davis (WKEE), Woody (Oldies 97.1), Jason King (Oldies 97.1) Cody Slate (Marshall and Kansas City Chiefs football), Ty Smith (TruTV series ‘Caught RedHanded’) and more.
